Apa jenama susu UHT pilihan anda?

So, apa jenama susu UHT pilihan anda? Kami sekeluarga suka minum Marigold UHT milk. Adam likes it natural (full cream milk), while Idrees loves the chocolate flavor. Sekali beli stock 2 minggu. Especially kalau ada promotion, borong banyak terus. Last week beli di Mydin sekotak RM3.99 sahaja. Berbaloi!

Semenjak kids stop minum susu botol, we substitute with this milk consumption. They are still growing therefore perlu protein intake kerana seperti yang kita tahu susu ada kalsium yang baik untuk membantu pertumbuhan tulang dan tubuh badan yang sihat. Not only the kids, me and hub pun suka minum susu ni. Dah sihat bertambah sihat la kot ye.

Haiiiii, patutlah berat badan tak mau turun2! (finger pointing obviously, padahal diri sendiri yang tak bersenam)

Apa itu UHT?

According to 100daysofrealfood.com UHT stands for Ultra High-Temperature Pasteurization (also referred to as Ultra Pasteurization or UP) and means that milk is heated to about 280 degrees F for 2 seconds, which kills more bacteria (both good and bad) than traditional pasteurization therefore giving the milk a much longer shelf life before it spoils.

Sebabkan UHT tu susu ni tak letak dekat chiller pun masa kita beli. Letak dekat luar je tak payah sejuk. But once opened the cap, kita kena refrigerate supaya boleh tahan beberapa hari.

Some even calls UHT milk “dead milk” because it kills good bacteria too during the pasteurization.

kalau nak tau from health standpoint, kena research lebih sikit ni. For now, cukup la sampai apa itu UHT.
