Percutian 6D5N to Hong Kong (Halal tour free and easy) - Day1

Previous Related entry here and here

Assalamualaikum & Hi...

So malam ni ada mood sikit nak sambung update about Percutian 6D5N to Hong Kong (Halal tour free and easy) - Day 1. Flight 8.05am on that 13 Sept. So at 3.45am already woke up and took shower...siap2 because taxi came at about 5am to KLIA. RM80 from our place to KLIA. Mahal sikit because of the midnight surcharge applies till 6am.

Please please remember momsie out there. Sebelum nak bepergian ni...do:
- Unplug unused appliances (i.e aircond, TV, ASTRO, Wifi router, water dispenser)
- Empty and clean ashtrays and wastebaskets (especially sampah basah)
- Might want to inform your close neighbors
- Secure all windows and doors
- Any valuable shoes and clothes at the hanger stand outside, do take it inside
- Bismillah and doa that Allah will take care of your house :-)

p/s: as much possible try to tidy up your house and don't leave it in a mess. You wouldn't want a mess house coming back from a trip later on.

The flight took 3hrs 40 mins to reach Hong Kong International Airport. Allahuakbar, I memang saspen naik flight selepas berita MH370 missing and MH17 shot down. Well who doesn't right?

Sampai, got our luggage straight went to look for the counter to buy Octopus Card. The card functions macam Touch N Go kita..can use for MTR, busses..in fact Octopus Card ni boleh guna nak bayar beli barang dekat 7-11, McD and many more lah...

Tanya2 lah orang dekat sana for direction sebab tak sure dekat mana. Hmmm, do expect fast walking people wearing "mind your own business" face. Dia jawab in chinese we tried hard to understand lah.. gegegeggege.. Remember you were handling hyper boys with luggage on trolley. Mobility was restricted sikit. So patience really the key here.

At the counter, the assistant can speak good english. So don't worry about it. Just prepare the necessary amount. Standard On-loan Octopus Card, kena bayar HKD150 (deposit HKD50) for adult and HKD70 (deposit HKD50) for child. Deposit tu boleh dapat refund nanti when you return the card final day before leaving the country. The usable value cukup lah untuk first day. The next day probably kena top up dah.

OK next, we got to find the terminus bus to go to Tung Chung CityGate Outlets (like our JPO). Again ringankan lah mulut bertanya..Signboards very helpful there. Easy to follow too.

Took S1 bus (dengan 3 bijik luggage tadi), time tu dah terik dah about 1pm ish. S1 bus final destination will terminate right dekat CityGate Outlets. Insya Allah tak sesat.

Ada Locker service dekat CityGate Outlets. Tapiiiiii full house. Nak nangis kena naik balik from B2/B1 ke atas sebab tak dapat simpan beg. Alhamdulillah kids were helpful took turn to carry their own bag. Proud of them!

Jalan2 kejap window shopping sambil seret/angkut bag. Lepas tu dah lapar dan dahaga. Standard lah passed lunch time. If not mistaken there are halal restaurant outside of the malls. Nearby the MTR station which just berdepan dengan mall tu. But we didn't survey outside of the mall. Just got to know it later from local friends there 2 days later :p

We went to Food Republic (Food Court) to buy some drinks and vegetarian food. Dapat air je, lega sikit.

Adam couldn't stomach the vege food, so makan bun je. Nasib baik bawak. Heeeeee..

Lepas makan sambung window shopping, but we didn't find anything worth buying (surprisingly). So, nak kena mencari jalan ke hotel pulak. Amazing race just begun!

Naik MTR for the first time. Few times kena tukar train nak ke Mong Kok East station. Dah sampai station, we bumped into malaysian family who already arrived one day earlier. So mereka tunjukkan jalan balik ke hotel. Alhamdulillah...

Dah sampai bilik, freshen up...relax jap..6pm ish dah malam..almost maghrib. So lepas maghrib la we all strolled along Fa Yuen Street. Macam pasar malam lah. Tapi sayang tak jumpa pun deretan kedai sneakers. Huhuhuhuhu.. Jalan2 then lapar balik! I guess lots of walking plus tadi tak de pun makan yang betul2 kenyang. Different food kan, need to adjust somehow.

From the halal restaurant list, kata ada one kedai makan not far from there. Tapi tak jumpa2 lah! We were blessed when met with Mbak Heni yang tunjukkan jalan ke satu restoran yang dia biasa kunjungi. Sudah few years she's in HongKong working as a maid. And Saturday adalah hari liburan dia. Cakap pasal liburan, memang ada market for Indonesian workers ni...we could see some stalls ada tulis harga dalam bahasa melayu/indonesia.

That's the end for Day 1. Tiring day already. In Day 2 more stories to come. Stay tune!

Percutian 6D5N to Hong Kong (Halal tour free and easy)

Assalamualaikum...

Lama sepi tanpa berita dekat blog ni. I was so busy planning for the trip to Hong Kong and the usual household chores that kept me fully occupied. So this time around, Supermakwannabe as a travel agent, photographer and writer! How interesting eh?

Writer
This post will be broken into few episodes. Sebabnya, I don't have the energy to write one lengthy post plus it will be dry boring. You wouldn't want to read it either I suppose. As much possible, I will try to recall all the little details so that it will be a worth sharing with the readers.

Photographer
All photographs in this post were taken by myself/kids/MrBawsman using our camera Olympus PEN Lite E-PL3 or Samsung Galaxy S5 camera phone unless stated otherwise. Don't expect to see me in most of the photos since I was the official photographer :P

Travel Agent
The tentative and actual itinerary throughout our stay done by myself (with help of MrBawsMan) through extensive research on the Internet, reference from friend and alsoooooo newly met friends (Sha & Shye). Besides itinerary, accommodation arrangement and mode of transportation also were carefully chosen after much consideration from the said resources.

Let's get started
i) Accommodation & Itinerary

Tools: maps.google.com.my (direction and distance), booking.com (hotel and review), hotels.com (hotel and review), discoverhongkong.com (places of interest) and rome2rio.com (direction, distance and fares estimation)

Objectives: Go to HK Disneyland, easy/nearby halal food, near MTR station, sightseeing, budget-friendly

Considering the objectives and based on good reviews, we chose to stay 3 nights in Mong Kok area, 1 night in Tsim Sha Tsui and 1 night in Disneyland resort.

-Royal Plaza Hotel in Mong Kok rated as 5 star hotel that can house 4 pax in one room without additional charges. Nearby to MTR station and connected to Grand Century Plaza.
-Sleep in Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is more like a hostel with much smaller room and located at a flat. Yes, we would like to experience the real Hongkies' life. Besides, the location is great in which just walking distance to Avenue of Stars, Star Ferry and nearby attraction. Of course MTR station just 2 minutes away. Oh yes, Chungking Mansion too just 2 blocks away for plenty options of Halal Food.
-Disney Hollywood Hotel We foresee we won't have enough energy to travel back after spending whole day there. Yes, the room is pricey. Justification made based on what we value and appreciate.

Tentative itinerary

Shall continue soon on the checklist of items to bring before looking at the actual itinerary. Stay tune!

Pengenalan Supermakwannabe

Assalamualaikum...

Doa buat semua ‘supermak’:

“Ya Allah, lembutkan lah hati kami supaya dapat menerima dan merasai segala yang dilakukan ini adalah semata-mata untuk menyembah dan beribadat kepada Mu Ya Allah, Ya Rahman, Ya Rahim”

Amin.

p/s: amacam boleh jadi penulis tak??

I'm officially a writer, korang!

Assalamualaikum...

I got a job! Happy sangat. Half payment pun dah dapat lepas first meeting tadi. Job jatuh keriba gitu. Sebab tak ada pulak iklan tengah cari kerja.

How?

Haaaa..ni yang menarik sangat ni. Bangga pun ada. :-) Kan I baru abis Master, convo May hari tu. Tengah consider nak sambung PhD. Ermmm...There is this lecturer whom I always referred to....nak mintak I tuliskan Chapter 2 of his thesis. Read that? THESIS for his PhD. Yup.

Tulis thesis tu..penulis la kan...writer. Kalau setakat tulis blog ni tak dapat payment..so tak sesuai la nak kata writer. ha ah..memang bukan writer...blogger ye dak..Hhehehe..

Happy. Bangga. Honored. Flattered. Macam2 perasaan bercampur baur.

Those in the above..the 'yo o o o' side of me. On the other side....

I need to strategize, keep calm and continue to write.

Wish me luck okay!

What is like being a mom?

That is my 'supermak'. Oooh I miss her.

No one can ever describe perfectly what it is like to be a mother until they become one themselves. Mak, now that I am a mom myself I know how hard last time you raise 6 of us. I could never imagine how you managed. For me, even just two of them my hands are full. At times I'm in tears, screaming...other times I'm smiling, laughing.

8 Things for "What is really like being a mom?" - the other side of it:
1-kids eating all your favorite dish that you cook for break fast pun tak apa
2-just seated on the couch and your kid calling from toilet suruh basuh kan bontot pun pegi
3-just about to dozz off and being called up nak minum susu pun kena bancuh
4-saving your last piece of cake for later and the next when you tried to look for it dah abis anak dah ngap! pun nak buat macam mana
5-You so thirsty bought yourself a bottle of 100Plus twisted up to drink and anak you snatch from you sebab dia tetiba dahaga pun mengalah jugak
6-You feel so mad that you want to say something B&*%% in front of anak also kena tahan - don't show anything stupid they are like sponge absorbing things
7-You so tempted to go watch movie or have your own time but so kesian to see them doing the puss-in-boot kind of eyes that you cancel your plan
8-They made you turn green that you yell and scream meroyan, after all done they came back and hug you like nothing happen - made you even feel like a bad mom!

How about you?

Till Then!

One day, I want to publish my own children's book

Adam's doodle of our family tree

It all started when I always get bunch of 'likes' from friends in my FB status when I posted something funny, comical and cute about what they said - referring to Adam and Idrees. Ada yang sampai bertanya bila lagi nak update pasal mereka kalau I missed to post new updates! A friend of mine even said it's addictive sebab everytime she and husband will laugh hard dengar telatah my kids. Another friend of mine (seriously I tak tipu- she's not even close to me merely an ex-colleague some many years ago) siap cadangkan I to write a book and she surely will buy! Thanks to Yuzie sebab mulai saat itu, I ada tanam angan-angan nak tulis buku.

From now on, I will dig and collect all the funny episodes which I have recorded down some where ; FB posting, Instag photos and etc. This going to be fun! Will share it here from time to time. Once I have enough, I need to source for illustrator, editor and publisher? Nak kena buat some research and ask around pasal nak terbit buku. Bukan senang rasanya...tapi tak de yang mustahil kalau kita betul nak buat. Yang penting, mesti ada take action. Kalau berangan sampai bila pun dekat situ jugak. Betul tak?

First teaser for the recent one was about 'Who chooses who?'. He was asking was it Daddy who chose (to marry) Mummy or otherwise.
It goes something like this:

"Mami ni yang pilih daddy tu ke.. daddy tu yang pilih mami ni?" Adik rasa? "Daddy tu yang pilih mami ni" sambil tuding jari kat i. "Betul ke adik teka?" Haaa..adik memang pandai. "Mesti la! Adik suka pilihan daddy".

He complimented his dad's choice for choosing to marry me who is now his mommy = mami. Ohhh, sweetness!
