Tetiba je hari ni nak tulis pasal sahabat. Dulu masa sekolah2, belajar Universiti dan baru mula bekerja memang ramai sahabat/kawan/teman. Bila dah kawin masing2 ada keluarga dah berkurang sangat. Tapi sebenarnya, sahabat yang baik itu walau jarang jumpa pun masih lagi boleh click instantly bila time catch up.

5 perkara Saya tahu dia sahabat saya bila:
i- saya rasa senang bila bersama dia, bercakap dengan nya, berkongsi susah senang bersama - contohnya nama dia akan ada dalam list whatsapp recent chats..hehehe.. kadang2 simple greeting "happy sunday" pun jadi lah.
ii- Ada perkara yang kami serasi - contoh nya saya suka henna kuku sebagai pass time, dia pun sama bila stress suka pakai henna!
iii- tak kedekut kalau soal wang atau apa jenis bantuan yang diperlukan- contoh bila pergi keluar makan, kalau saya tak cukup duit dia tak kisah pun tolong tambahkan atau terus belanja!
iv- sentiasa memberi semangat atau support system yang baik - contoh nya jika saya sedang feel down, diorang lah yang akan pom pom saya suruh happy balik!

5 perkara saya tahu dia bukan sahabat yang baik bila:
i- kalau nak bercakap dengan dia kena hati2/cover/berlapik risau nanti salah pengertian sampai dekat orang lain jadi cerita lain - nampak benar bukan 'sahabat' kalau jenis suka jaja cerita dan bawak mulut sana sini
ii-berkira kalau soal wang atau apa jenis bantuan yang diperlukan - contoh nya kalau nak mintak refer assignment, cepat je mengelak! Soal duit pun berkira tak ingat.
iii-penting diri sendiri kalau hal dia, tapi hal kita tak ambil port pun - cerita dia je kena dengar, kalau kita ada problem suruh lend an ear buat deeeekkkk je.
iv-mengajak atau mempengaruhi ke arah keburukan - kalau dia tahu kelemahan kita suka shopping, bukan suruh kita berjimat ke fikir dulu sebelum beli ke. Tapi dia yang lebih2 berkira duit kita suruh spend!
v- perasan best! yang ni memang tak boleh blah la. Kalau berkawan ni satu hala je, memang tak boleh uols. It has to be mutual.

Review of Bio Essence Miracle Bio Water

This is my 2nd bottle of Miracle Bio Water and am loving it

After SimplySiti White & Detox Night Cream review which you can read it here, I would like to give a review (am not getting paid) on this favorite item of mine (at least for now). Other brand like Avene is calling it Thermal water. I haven't tried to use Avene. But suppose the benefit should be more or less the same to give soothing, cooling effects.

Does your skin need special water? IMHO, this is more like a want, rather than a need. I must say that. We still can live without sprinkling special water on our face. :-) So, what actually made me buy it? When I used to work on the field, I travelled a lot from one place to the other. Sometimes driving during the noon at 36 degree C, then parked the car 100 meters away from the entrance actually exposed my facial skin to the sun and it became dehydrated and burned. Serum, Moisturizer and SPF not enough to keep me moisturized and fresh. I used this miracle water for a quick fix. It works! Ya, it really freshens up my skin for at least 5 minutes. :p After that, it leaves the skin moisturized but that doesn't mean that it can replace moisturizer.

Way before I learned about this water, I just sprinkled the drinking water or mineral water on my face. Right from the water bottle - don't even use the spray bottle. Fine it did make me feel refresh too, but very slightly like in 10 seconds? There is no cooling effect obviously.

What make I chose it? Over other brands, because it's cheaper. Benefit wise is almost similar. Ingredients wise is something that make me wanting to try other brands because this one says it only contains Aqua and Nitrogen (only?)
Local Product? Written it is "Produced in Malaysia" at the back of the bottle.

Verdict:
Smell? No smell/fragrance
Color? No color
Texture? Water!
Packaging? Come in multi size. But the one that I bought 100ml is good for home use or to pop into a handbag.
Price? Fair. Other brands are more expensive.
Merit? Ideal for face, hair, body and babies. Multipurpose is wayyyy cool. :-)
Demerit? None
After first application? Wow! Instant cooling and soothing. Feel refresh. But mind you, it is temporary effect. I don't use make up that much so I don't know if it works to set up makeup like some who commented about it.
Go for second bottle? Why not.

Honey dan lemon bagus untuk kesihatan anda

Saya dah cuba ni 3 hari, so far so good. Idah yang suggest saya cuba ni masa bertanyakan pengambilan supplement tempohari. Umur dah menginjak 3 series ni memang kena jaga kesihatan uols. Tak macam dulu semua main redah je.

Sekarang, buat keje lebih sket dah semput. Jalan jauh sikit dah penat. Angkat berat sikit dah sakit pinggang. Kena jaga kesihatan, bak kata Makcik Odah tukang urut saya "kita nak guna dia lama lagi". Kena ada maintenance kan?

Tak perlu lah saya cerita khasiat lemon dan honey ni. Boleh saja baca di sini dan sini. Banyak lagi sebenarnya cerita khasiat kedua-duanya. Bila google, celebrity blogger Hanis Zalikha dan Mama dia pun ada blog pasal ni.

Saya beli madu jenama GiantB. Botol kecil harga RM26. Ada beberapa jenis madu rupanya, dan masing2 ada khasiat tersendiri. Selepas bertanyakan akak yang menjual saya pilih Pure Honey. Ianya boleh digunakan untuk seisi keluarga. 3 khasiat utama yang membuatkan ianya menjadi pilihan:
(1)Bagus untuk memberi tenaga (untuk saya),
(2)menajamkan memori &
(3)melegakan selesema (untuk kids).

Oh ya, madu ni ada 2 dont's. Pertamanya, jangan disimpan di dalam peti sejuk. Keduanya, jangan menggukan sudu besi. Sebaiknya pakai sudu plastik.

Lemon pula 0.65sen sebiji. Banyak kegunaan lemon ni. Kalau dah perah ambil jus nya jangan dibuang kulit tu, boleh masuk dalam sabun pencuci pinggan. Setelah bertukar warna, boleh lah dibuang. Lemon dan seperti juga limau yang lain terkenal sebagai ajen pembersih yang handal. Jangan lupa, boleh juga buat bersih microwave seperti dalam entri saya sebelum ni.

Insya Allah, saya akan cuba amalkan pengambilan honey lemon ni. Jom cuba!

Resepi Ayam Masak Merah

Masak ni semalam ambil resepi dari Mat Gebu, memang sedap!
Ayam masak merah ni makan dengan Nasi Tomato dan Jelatah nenas. Tapi untuk hari ni, entri nya cuma resepi Ayam Masak Merah. Semalam Dedi a.k.a King Nan balik je tanya, "bau apaaaaa sedap ni?" OK la this is as good as "you masak sedap gila!". I'm happy already. To be honest, this is the best Ayam Masak Merah I have ever cook. Tak Tipu. Tu sebab semangat nak muat naik resepi for future reference. Terima kasih la to the trustee blog otai memasak yang memang selalu saya refer kalau nak cari resepi. Dedi siap comment tak perlu tunggu Ayam Masak Merah Cik Ah yang memang dia terngiang-ngiang sampai sekarang. This is as good. Ahhahaah... Alhamdulillah.

CARA MEMBUATNYA :-)
Ayam digaul dengan sedikit serbuk kunyit dan garam, perap sekejap dan goreng hingga masak, tapi tak perlu sampai garing, angkat dan toskan. Panaskan minyak dalam kuali, tumis bahan kisar halus hingga harum, masukkan cili kisar dan tumis hingga cili garing. Tambah tomato pure dan masak sekejap. Masukkan sos cili dan sos tomato, kacau rata.

Tambah ayam tadi dan gaul rata2 dan tuang air. Masukkan gula melaka, kacau dan masak dengan api sederhana hingga pekat. Rasa dan tambah garam secukup rasa. Masak sekejap dan masukkan gajus goreng, gaul rata dan angkat. Tabur hirisan daun bawang dan kacang pis. Boleh hidangkan...

Earning from Nuffnang - betul ke bohong?

Earning from Nuffnang pertama kali sejak 1.5 months berblogging

Kalau siapa yang berblog dan nak mencuba buat duit sambilan melalui iklan, boleh cuba Nuffnang. Hari ni saya menulis sebagai seorang blogger (yang belum berjaya buat duit sambilan :p) Saya bukan nak buat tutorial atau kemukakan tips bagaimana to earn from Nuffnang by blogging. Sebab saya sendiri pun tersangat lah baru.

Saya banyak terdengar dan baca sendiri entri di blog lain tentang blogger berjaya antaranya seperti Hanis Zalikha (tiada maklumat how much she earned), RedMummy (dia pernah cash out sampai 30k - read here) dan CikLaili (dalam 4k per month cash out- baca sini). Wow, sangat memberi inspirasi!! Tak tipu. Hanya dengan berblogging tentang apa yang kita suka, sambil dapat berkenalan dengan ramai orang dan dapat duit sambilan. Menarik bukan? At least kalau tak dapat banyak, dapat bayar balik duit broadband bulanan sudah cukup okay buat saya. :-)

Okay, cukup sudah untuk inspirasi tengok orang berjaya. Kita bila lagi? Inilah cabaran nya! Saya baru dapat 0.25sen. Hahahhaha.. Sama ada ini menjadi peniup semangat untuk terus, atau pemadam semangat! Untuk mendapat pulangan seperti mereka, readership mesti la ribu riban kawan-kawan. Kalau setakat puluh orang, ratus orang makan berpuluh tahun mungkin belum dapat cash out juga. Berbalik kepada readership, saya ada 4 orang follower sekarang. Yeehaaaa...ok stay positive. Abuse of Internet access at work - are you involved?

I got an A for presenting the proposal last semester for my research project.
In a recent newsworthy by The Star in February 2013, from the conducted survey shows that Malaysians are spending 2 hours on social networking or Internet during the 9 to 5 office hours. Internet is indispensable in the current working environment; in fact it has become a standard office facility. On the down side, there is a rising concern of the abuse and misuse.

Too dry? Yeah maybe to some people. But this is a real problem for employers, abuse of internet and computers in the workplace has become rampant. We have to understand the impact of internet abuse can be anything from (1)productivity loss, (2)security incidents, (3)network congestion to (4)legal liability.

A closer look of example Internet abuse at workplace from our local scene whereby a father who got to know about the 5 months old baby died at Taska from the facebook! Read it here. Who could have updated the facebook if not the employee/staff? Isn't she or he abuses the internet access? Doing personal stuff while at work using the Internet. Though the employer might not providing the smartphone nor the data plan/Internet connection, but the act of getting connected while during office hour? That is obviously not work related.

What really is abusing the Internet access at workplace? In my research, I'm referring to Internet abuse as:
- employees' use of Internet for non-work related purposes (Woon & Pee, 2004)
- all points of connecting to the Internet within the workplace including from smartphones (Bernard,2011)
- use of Internet and mobile technology during working hours for personal reasons (Vitak et al,2011)

I have set three objectives to be achieved for this research, (1) to investigate the employees' internet abuse activities during office hours, (2) to identify key factors that contribute to internet abuse and (3) to recommend countermeasure to overcome internet abuse during office hours.

Still dry? I don't know about you, but I'm very much into this topic though it wasn't my intention to go for Computer Ethics. Thanks to my supervisor who opened my eyes that I could contribute something valuable in this field of study. I will try to do my best. To friends out there, soon enough I will need your kind help to answer the questionnaire pertaining to this study. Don't avoid me ya! :p

3 perkara bila menziarah saudara/sahabat yang akan berangkat ke Mekah

Kali ni Supermakwannabe menulis sebagai seorang sahabat. Tiada profession tertentu. Apa beza sahabat dan kawan? Atau samakah sahabat dan kawan? Sila lah baca sendiri! Yang pasti, Sahabat boleh membantu apabila kita memerlukan, meredakan kesedihan ,menghilangkan kebimbangan dan orang yang mampu menyimpan rahsia/keaiban kita. Tetapi mereka ini tiada pertalian darah dengan kita.

Antara adab sebelum menunaikan fardu haji ialah mengucapkan selamat tinggal. Kalau nak baca lanjut ada di sini. Tidak dinyatakan daripada mana sumber diperolehi tetapi apabila membacanya tidak mendatangkan keraguan - semuanya perkara baik. Wallahualam.

Dulu, saya tak pernah ambil pusing perkara sebegini. Ikut mak menziarah orang, mak mesti tau nak bagi apa atau cakap apa. Tapi sekarang bila saya sendiri terpaksa melaluinya (sebab umur pun bertambah dah jadi mak-mak), maka kena lah tau adab menziarah kan? Saya buat 3 perkara ini semasa menziarah Rosie. Boleh juga kalau ada yang nak berkongsi pengalaman, sila letak di ruangan komen ya ;-). Sebelum menulis entri ini, ada juga bertanyakan beberapa orang (you know who you are) untuk kepastian apakah kebiasannya dilakukan mereka. Jawapan serupa yang diterima. Tapi saya ingin menambah 2 perkara lagi menjadikannya 3 perkara untuk saya praktikan:

1. Bermafaan
2. Berdoa - semoga dipermudahkan urusan, dikurniakan haji mabrur, dianugerahkan kesihatan untuk beribadat dan sebagainya
3. Sedekah bentuk wang perbelanjaan

Easy organizing tips for closet that everyone must know

New found pass time - Watching YouTube on home organizing
I tried to be a Professional Organizer in the last entry. I think I hooked with it. I started to watch for more home organizing related vids on YouTube. Particularly I like the one from Alejandra. She's my star for this purpose. Wow! I have loads of bubble ideas by watching her series. I like the spirit. I hope it stays and bubble ideas will turn to tangible result. :-)

If you look at Alejandra's Vids or Blogs, she organized everything - closet, pantry, fridge, bathroom, office and many more! Go and check out yourself okay. I'm not too rigid that must follow the organization style, but I'm not fond of clutter too. So, I'm okay if moderately organized and have a little bit of clutter. Gitu la kira2nya... Alejandra so called had me when she said "If you’re on this site, it’s because you’ve realized that clutter (either mental, physical, or both) is preventing you from achieving super-hero status...". We have something in common. Wanting to achieve super-hero status. Well, great mind think a like don't they. *wink*

So, what have changed ever since into home organizing?
It has to be the way I fold clothes. Now, it's space saving, super neat, easy reach in and take out. I don't own proper closet to show. But anyhow this is what I have. Those are my hubs t-shirts, jeans/pants, shorts/boxers.

Some tips that could be useful:
- Group like with like (jeans with jeans, t-shirt with t-shirt, etc.) Same size items stack neatly.
- Put clothes you use most in a section easy for reaching in
- Add drawers to collect smaller items. If you don't have drawers, use basket

I was telling hubs that I could have an overdose of home organizing vids since becoming fulltime housewife. I asked him what he thinks about the new folding style. He said "I think it's proprietary" I asked what does that suppose to mean? "It means only YOU who knows how to fold it!" LOL, nice way to escape from helping me to fold the clothes. You sneaky!

Review of SimplySiti White & Detox Night Cream

Okay, this is my first attempt trying to play role as a reviewer. :-) The first one was for Tesco Online Shopping which can be read in here. This time around I'm going to review a skincare product from SimplySiti. It's very well known this product belongs to our superstar singer Dato' Siti Nurhaliza.


Before I start, you must know an effective night cream will work while you sleep to fight common skin concerns and prevent aging (think fine lines, wrinkles and laxity). - The Dermatology Review

Some useful info:
Where I bought? - Watsons store. You won't find it in the Watsons online store.

How much? - RM39.90

Reference in official website? - Unfortunately not yet in SimplySiti's official site. I believe this is new range as of September 2013. Strange that it's already in the market but the admin yet to put up on the website. ;p

What's the full range? - 1. Cleanser/Mask 2. Mist Toner 3. Day Cream 4. Night Cream

What make I chose it? - 1. credit to the choice of words to describe "repairing, purifies and brightens skin while you sleep". Wow! 2. claim that it can minimize appearance of freckles (my problem) 3. it says contains two most powerful natural ingredients for healthier & fairer skin ;Honey & green tea

Local Product? - No. Written on the box, Made in Korea. However, it is local brand.

Verdict:
Smell? Light mediumly scented, pleasant
Color? Colored - as per the packaging
Texture? Non greasy, light textured
Packaging? Small about 1/2 size of my palm - nicely hold, probably because it is 30g.
Price? fair
Merit? SPF 20 PA++ (PA rankings are listed as PA+, PA++ or PA+++. The more +'s, the more protection from UVA rays.)
Demerit? None
After first application? Homaigod, I have two tiny bumps the next morning. However, it didn't leave me with oily skin.
Go for second bottle? I don't think so.

Creative Self Introduction

I had my first presentation for the semester this afternoon. Felt a bit nervous pulak walhal just in front of classmates about 20 of us je. We were tasked to do a creative self introduction given a list of cues:
1. Name
2. Photo
3. DOB
4. Place of Birth
5. Marital Status, no. children (if any)
6. Highest certificate attained, University? Degree?
7. Work Experience – Position, Company
8. Favourites; Pass time,Hobby,Singer,Song,Actor &/ Actress,Movie
9. Philosophy in life?
10. Where do you see your self in (Life Charter):
a. 10 years (if u are less than 35 years old)
b. 5 years (if u are => 35 years old)
11. Whom do you love most?

It took me couple of hours to come out with what to be presented. Punya la slow nak fikir! In the end I settled with something like in the above. Creative? According to Wikipedia, Creativity is a phenomenon whereby something new and valuable is created (such as an idea, a joke, a literary work, a painting or musical composition, a solution, an invention etc.). If you can play musical instrument, painting, reciting poems, singing and acting those are creative in my opinion. Some people have natural talent without much effort.

I'm not an English Teacher, but please remember that pass time and hobby is actually different thing. Pass time is something that you do when you have nothing better to do. During pass time in a car while driving, you listen to radio. It may not be your hobby. So pass time is transitory. Whereas a hobby comes with passion and something that need investment. You invest for camera to indulge in photography.

Not too sure my piece of work fall under which category of the creativity, but it is an original idea and injection of some elements rather than just a boring text answering to the cues. Kan, kan? Importantly the message is conveyed and the objective is achieved - your audience know who you are!

I hope that gives you some idea. :-)

EPF or KWSP Shah Alam working hours

Today, I'm going to take a role as a runner. Usually we heard about job as runner in production house. A runner in production/broadcasting industry is an entry-level position, the most junior role in the production department of the company. There is no single job description as runners act as general assistants and undertake whatever basic tasks are required to ensure the smooth running of the production process. I got that from the UK's official graduate career's website.

In my context of being a runner for the house, I have to run some errands either for me or any of the family member. Like today, I got to do some printing of the assignment and forms (printer koyak). Then have to settle the school fees (mine), replenish personal care stuffs (kids,hubs and mine) including this one go to EPF to do some information updates (mine too).

Since August 1, 2012 if you need to update the nomination information there are few things to take note:
1. have to be presence at the counter
2. nomination through POS or next of kin/relative is not allowed
3. EPF staff and the person to be nominated are not allowed to be the witness for nomination registration
4. Only a complete nomination form filled up with Black Pen is accepted
5. Make sure information about witness is filled up and have to stamp the thumb print in front of the witness. No use of Stamp pad and Liquid Paper is allowed.

Informasi tentang ulat daun

Ulat daun yang berjaya ditangkap petang tadi sedang berehat di atas daun limau purut saya yang tinggal separuh saja.

Tanam.com ada cadangan bernas untuk penggunaan pesticide buatan sendiri yang organik. Hampir sama ramuan yang telah saya catat pada entri yang lalu dan juga telah saya cuba buat seminggu yang lepas. Masih ada ulat. Mungkin perlu tau juga kekerapan semburan pesticide yang lebih efektif.

Kali ni bukan nak cerita pasal langkah yang diambil untuk menangani ulat daun perosak tanaman saya (rasa lebih formal pulak bahasakan diri saya), tetapi informasi yang saya dapat mengenai ulat ini setelah membuat perbandingan gambar di google. Menarik sekali bila terjumpa entri ini yang memberitahu rupanya ulat itu adalah larva kupu-kupu Asia berekor cabang (swallowtail). Tiba-tiba rasa macam nak cari balik dalam tong sampah yang saya buang daun bersama ulat petang tadi. :-)



Sumber dari kompas.com mengatakan larva ini mempunya teknik penyamaran yang pelbagai untuk menghindari ancaman pemangsa. Larva muda menyamar seperti kotoran burung dan berubah menjadi hijau menjelang fasa akhir sebelum menjadi kepompong. OooOooO..memang persis taik burung la tadi. Sekali tengok dekat2 ada muka. Sah la ulat!

Today, I feel like wanting to be a product reviewer. As a reviewer, one needs to comment on the product. I was looking around for a good JD (job description) but couldn't find it. Found one so simple in here. It sounds like this "Very easy job, suitable for part-timers, students, jobless ppl, retirees, person looking for extra income.Just need to review a product on a website and match the attribute value of the product to the relevant attribute." Did you get it? I don't quite get it on the second part.

So I sendiri summarized that I would need tell about the usage, benefit, where to get it, does it good and so on. Practically give feedback about the product in which other people can gain benefit out of it.

I choose to review Tesco Online Shopping since we received Tesco ClubCard Cash Voucher. The interface is fair and I immediately know how to use it. Checked that it covered our area Putra Heights - for now only Selangor, KL and Putrajaya. As I was about to proceed further by completing the form with valid home address, I couldn't find my area in the drop down menu for suburb. Sedih!

I tried to call the customer service number (1300-13-1313) at least 3 times. Network busy? Try again the 4th time then only can get through. Was talking to the operator validating my full address. Then she asked me if I'm online at that moment. I was about to tell her "YES, I am online" and the line went dead! Frust nya. Call again, Network busy.

Mission incomplete. Till some other day cause I have a pile of clothes to fold.

Pertandingan Bunga Api Antarabangsa Putrajaya 2013 - penutup pada 2 Oktober!

Foto terbaik yang dapat saya rakam menggunakan Samsung S3. Masa ni belum beli Olympus E-PL3. Pada hari Khamis 13hb yang lepas, kebetulan King Nan balik kerja awal jadi kitorang pun berjalan ambil angin ke Putrajaya. Pelan asal nak pegi Marina Putrajaya tengok Backyard Monsters and Dinosaurs Exhibition. Tapi sedih, bila dah sampai siap parking semua, sekali ada event, press, pak menteri kot sebab ramai polis jugak. Adik yang jaga entrance tu kata "maaf kak dan abang ada perasmian jadi kita tutup malam ni". Adam dengan Idrees bukan boleh terima. Stress mami time tuh.

Since first time King Nan and kids sampai sana (I dah biasa sebab used to have meeting with customers before), kitorang pegi jalan sekililing. Ada amoi sexy bagi flyers dan bagi tau nanti pukul 10 ada fireworks! Aha, baru la teringat pasal pertandingan bunga api ni... Alhamdulillah, rasa macam Detektif Conan berjaya selesaikan misteri penyiasatan! Ahahhaha.. Kids so happy.

Tapi kitaorg tak tunggu dekat Marina tu sebab belum makan. Cafe kat situ dah fullhouse. Sempat pergi dinner dulu, ngam ngam dekat pukul 10 we all drove over nak pegi Presint 5. Half way about 10.05pm nampak bunga api kebabom dah...so kita stop la dekat padang nearby. Bunga api tanpa henti selama 25 minit. Ramai orang berenti kat situ jugak. Kalau berada lebih dekat, mesti lebih cantik nampak bunga api yang di bawah. Rasa nak pergi lagi untuk penutup nanti pada 2hb Oktober. Jom!

3 langkah mudah membersih microwave tanpa sabun

I selalu pakai microwave untuk tujuan memanaskan atau reheat. Macam-macam la reheat dalam tu daripada lauk pauk, roti, kuah durian, ikan pekasam dan sebagainya. Ada makanan mengeluarkan minyak dan bau menyebabkan microwave perlu dicuci sekali sekala. Dulu bila cuci, rasa kena guna sabun baru bersih segala kotoran degil.

Semenjak jadi surirumah, ada masa nak mengkaji bagaimana cara lain yang lebih efektif dan mesra alam untuk capai objektif microwave bersih berkilau! cewah...Rupa-rupanya banyak entri di luar sana mengenai cara mudah membersih microwave tanpa sabun ni. Ada yang mencadangkan penggunaan cuka dan ada menggunakan lemon. Kelebihan menggunakan cuka atau lemon adalah kerana ianya tidak menggunakan bahan kimia, murah dan mesra alam. Lagipun, kedua-duanya sama efektif menanggalkan kotoran degil serta bahan seperti lemon meninggalkan bau yang wangi.

3 langkah mudah membersih microwave tanpa sabun:
- Potong lemon, perah jus nya dan masukkan dalam mangkuk yang 'microwave safe' berisi air (tapi I pakai limau kasturi je, pun boleh)
- Masukkan mangkuk berisi lemon dan air tadi ke dalam microwave. Jika bekas kecil seperti dalam gambar (mangkuk Ikea), dalam 2-5 minit sudah cukup untuk mengewap kan air lemon tadi.
- Lap, lap dan lap sehingga bersih wap air tadi. Siap!

Top 5 things to do when your child is having fever

Once in a while, my kids will have fever. I always tell myself not to take it lightly. Especially a continuous high fever during night time. Don't be your own doctor when it comes to this. Unless you sememangnya doktor la kan. You will know that your child is having fever when:
1. Usually hotter than normal at the forehead - that's obvious
2. complain of headache
3. puke after food/drink intake

In my case, top 5 things I would do when my kids having fever are:
1. Regularly take the temperature (I have digital thermometer at home - redeem from Anmum many years ago but still in very good condition! :-)
note: Temperature above 38 C consider feverish. Approaching 40 C is alarming
2. Give the medicine i.e. fever relief syrup. Here for tips to give medicine.
3. Put on KoolFever the fever relief cooling patch on the forehead
4. Dress your child lightly e.g shorts with singlet
5. Use damp towel to dab/wipe around the neck, armpit and back of knee to bring the fever down

Do this with love and lots of pray. Insya Allah they will recover. Till Then!

Belum ada followers untuk blog anda?

Ya, blog ni belum ada seorang follower pun lagi. Sedih kan? Perlu ke ada follower? Jawapan nya ada pelbagai bergantung kepada blogger itu sendiri. IMHO, Blog bukan diari di mana kita sorok dari pengetahuan orang dan tidak membenarkan orang lain membaca nya. Selalu nya walaupun personal blog, seseorang blogger itu membayangkan akan reader yang membacanya. Mungkin keluarga, teman rapat, kawan sekerja atau pun total strangers.

Bila kita mula menulis blog, kita akan cari topik yang kita rasa menarik untuk dikongsi. Nampak tak keyword di situ iaitu 'kongsi'. Nak dikongsikan bersama siapa kalau tidak dengan readers. Apa bila kita berkongsi cerita dengan orang ramai, kita mesti bersedia menerima maklum balas (sama ada baik atau buruk) daripada orang itu. Seperti mana di dalam blog, jika kita membenarkan readers untuk memberi komen contohnya maka bersedia la jika komen yang diberikan di luar jangkaan kita.

Berbalik kepada persoalan mengenai followers tadi, apa yang perlu anda buat untuk mempunyai followers jika belum mempunyai seorang pun? Mengikut pembacaan di blog lain yang memberi tips tentang blogging, sebagai rumusan ada 5 langkah segera yang akan dicuba pada blog ini:-

Resepi masak lemak labu

Usually bila sindrom tak tau nak masak apa..kita akan termenung lama tengok barang dalam fridge sambil tu kepala ligat congak nak masak apa. Menu utama nak 'lawan' dengan apa ya?.. Yang ni I masak semalam, I thought the result is quite good so nak upload the recipe here untuk rujukan masa akan datang. Masak lemak labu ni, ikan pekasam taruk cili padi potong dengan jeruk petai dan nasi panas2 memang la sedap!

I like to refer Dapur Tanpa Sempadan sometimes. Bagus resepi dia. Mudah faham dan belum buat lagi dah ada perasaan rasanya nanti sedap! Hehehe..Resepi di bawah ikut dari blog dia lah..

BAHAN-BAHANNYA
1 biji labu manis saiz sederhana, kupas, cuci dan potong kiub besar2
2 batang serai, dititik
2 kuntum bunga kunyit, belah 2 setiap 1, rendam (I tak letak pun - tak de)
1 liter santan cair
300 ml pati santan
1 camca besar penuh udang kering, rendam 10 minit, tos dan tumbuk kasar
1 biji bawang besar, hiris
4 ulas bawang putih, diketuk
1 camca teh lada hitam, tumbuk halus
3/4 camca teh serbuk kunyit
Garam dan gula secukup rasa

CARA MEMBUATNYA
-Masukkan labu ke dalam periuk, masukkan juga hirisan bawang besar, bawang putih, serai dan udang kering.
-Tuang santan cair dan masak hingga mendidih.
-Tambah serbuk kunyit dan lada hitam tumbuk.
-Kacau perlahan dan masak sekejap.
-Masukkan bunga kunyit (toskan) dan tuang santan pekat.
-Masak hingga labu lembut tapi tidak terlalu lembik.
-Perasakan dengan garam secukupnya dan tambah sedikit gula.
-Kacau dan biar mendidih sekejap dengan api sederhana.
-Rasa dan jika ok, boleh matikan api. Hidangkan bersama nasi hangat, sambal belacan dan ikan goreng/ikan masin.

Weaning your child off the pacifier

Adam a 7 year old boy who is still on pacifier.

Yes, he is still on pacifier (only at night, kadang2 siang ada jugak). Two!! Satu hisap, satu lagi gentel dekat hidung. Homaigod. Nak marah, myself pun cam tu till 6 kot. Tapi he's a boy tak sama and that he's coming to 7 dah. Everytime we discuss about this, he will say he's not ready and that mami not enough doa asking from Allah to make him stop wanting hisap puting. There were few nights that he tried not to hisap puting, I caught him tak boleh tidor terkelip-kelip mata dia. When I asked, why he's still awake, dia kata teringat puting! Don't think can sleep kalau tak hisap dan bau puting tu! LOL.

I told him, let say one day your friend got to know you hisap puting sampai dua macam nih, how are you suppose to answer them? Selamba dia jawab, they will not know unless mami tells the friend! Aik, kita kena balik.

Weaning off pacifier use for a school going boy, for me agak challenging. Since the younger brother who is 5 also on pacifier. So, bila abang brave himself not to hisap puting nampak la adik dia tengah tayang nicely puting left and right. I know it's me partly to be blamed for allowing this situation to happen for so long. Dulu masa sibuk kerja, asalkan they don't cry. I give in bagi puting ke apa. Now that I'm a housewife and have time to actually correct this, I want to give it a try.

Some facts that I read about weaning off pacifier use:
- berenti puting ni sepatutnya before age of 3
- can try a trick like kempiskan puting, sorok puting dan sebagainya
- gradual approach might work in some cases; mengehadkan penggunaan puting hanya pada waktu malam and gradually stop altogether
- three day plan , keep telling about 30 secs that on day 3 no more pacifier. Allow him to be ready and tell him that's the process to make him older/bigger. On third day, it's time to gather and bid farewell to the pacifiers.

I'm going to try this soon. Among with many other things dalam kotak kepala n.. :-) Being a mother who take care of the kids and do chores, is already a supermak uols!

Mengajar anak anda menunggang basikal

I tak ingat uols! Yang pasti, once you know how to ride it's something that you will never forget lah. Dengan sebelum nak pandai tu jatuh sana, calar sini, lebam situ, langgar merata!

Sekarang kids area sini tengah musim main basikal. Anak-anak neighbor semua main basikal. Yang belum pernah main basikal sebelum ni, nampak la basikal tu bersinar-sinar baru beli kat kedai. Apa lagi, Adam dan Idrees pun sama la sibuk nak main basikal yang dah sekian berlapuk, tak de angin, pedal dah relai dan pelbagai kerosakan lain. Both of them tak pandai kayuh basikal properly. Tak de rhythm kata King Nan. :-) Masing-masing action sebab ada training wheels..boleh la. BUT..that was history for Adam uols.

Berkat leteran both of us - we meant to coach obviously, training and training sampai peluh tahap mandi...tadaaa...Alhamdulillah, Adam dalam masa 3 hari dah pandai kayuh basikal! Ohh bangga mami..
Adik still tak lepas lagi. Give him a face la, baru nak masuk 5 tahun. Ehehhehe..

There is no short cut in teaching your kid to ride a bike. It's up to individual development jugak and how fast they learn. Yang penting make them feel confident and enjoy the learning process. It's obvious if they try too hard and things didn't work out - just don't give up. Adam bila cuba gila-gila tak pandai-pandai masuk dalam rumah jerit "give uppppppp!!" dengan muka masam jeruk. Take it easy boy...

Mari cuba lukis rambutan

This should have come earlier a post about mami being a teacher. Every mom is a good teacher kan? Tonight, I helped Adam to finish up his homework to draw rambutan. I'm not an artist which I have to admit. That maybe not the best effort, but even the best pun takkan la cantik benar rupa rambutan tu uols. At least mami is giving a try for his son.

Just a simple drawing, mami here kena refer google images for rambutan. LOL! Then I let Adam to choose which one to draw. Hah, nasib baik dia tak pilih yang bukan2, if not jenuh mami here kena pulun lukis. Tee hee...While drawing, we chatted about the shape, colors and taste. In 10 minutes, siap! He got to do his part too, I drew the line and showed to him to strike the hairy rambutan.

I don't get it some joker mat salleh commented rambutan taste like 'poop'. Rambutan sedap la mat salleh oi! Rambutan is native to Malaysia and Indonesia. We should be proud! :-) I love local fruits.

What is like being a mom?

That is my 'supermak'. Oooh I miss her.
No one can ever describe perfectly what it is like to be a mother until they become one themselves. Mak, now that I am a mom myself I know how hard last time you raise 6 of us. I could never imagine how you managed. For me, even just two of them my hands are full. At times I'm in tears, screaming...other times I'm smiling, laughing.

8 Things for "What is really like being a mom?" - the other side of it:
1-kids eating all your favorite dish that you cook for break fast pun tak apa
2-just seated on the couch and your kid calling from toilet suruh basuh kan bontot pun pegi
3-just about to dozz off and being called up nak minum susu pun kena bancuh
4-saving your last piece of cake for later and the next when you tried to look for it dah abis anak dah ngap! pun nak buat macam mana
5-You so thirsty bought yourself a bottle of 100Plus twisted up to drink and anak you snatch from you sebab dia tetiba dahaga pun mengalah jugak
6-You feel so mad that you want to say something B&*%% in front of anak also kena tahan - don't show anything stupid they are like sponge absorbing things
7-You so tempted to go watch movie or have your own time but so kesian to see them doing the puss-in-boot kind of eyes that you cancel your plan
8-They made you turn green that you yell and scream meroyan, after all done they came back and hug you like nothing happen - made you even feel like a bad mom!

Part time driver pun okay juga

Mesti pernah dengar orang kata "driver tu mesti perempuan" bila tengok bawak perlahan, overtake tak bagi signal dan terkedek2 potong queue. Cliche la sangat macam lelaki tak buat kan!

Okay hari ni I nak cerita pasal kerja sehari-hari I jadi driver hantar dan ambil kids from school. Selain dari tu, I jugak yang angkut 2 buah basikal pegi repair, groceries shopping dan yang sewaktu dengannya (as and when needed) while King Nan is off to work. Yes, that is my other hat as a family driver.

Let's see the description of a driver. Google is telling me a driver is a person who drives vehicle. Hah, easy macam semua orang pun boleh jadi driver kan? Not that quite, in Malaysia if you look at the requirements to apply for a job as a driver, you need to have:

1.minimum SPM with at least 2 years working experience in the related field is required for this position.
2.Pleasant personality
3.Good traffic record & driving skills with a valid Class D driving license
4.Willing to accept long & occasionally irregular hours


#1 is important because at least you need to know how to read the signboard/map or listen to a voice giving direction using GPS/Waze and etc.#2 is equally important sebab you takkan nak tengok driver yang muka moncong, tak puas hati,stone je pagi2 hantar you pegi sekolah. #3 is obviously important sebab kalau tak de lesen jawab nya kena saman la! Lesen je tak cukup, need driver with common sense and reasonably prudent driving. Kalau tak you will be one of those yang sambil drive type whatsapp, potong q, drive slow in fast lane dan bermacam-macam lagi. #4 yes a driver kena ada willingness let say tetiba you tengah sedap taking a nap gas dah abis and your helper tak boleh nak goreng keropok lekor untuk makan petang...dah kena kerja!

Kalau I, would have add two more requirements kot:
5.Responsible for periodic maintenance of vehicle
6.Ensure vehicle is clean & reliable at all times

Daun kunyit berlubang apa rawatannya?

According to Wikipedia "A gardener is someone who practices gardening, either professionally or as a hobby. Gardening is considered to be a relaxing activity for many people". I'm practicing gardening as a hobby from now on. Yes indeed it is relaxing activity. I feel good especially during harvesting time and feel bad during time like this, when my crop is decayed.

Orang kita selalu kata tak rugi berbudi pada tanah. Memang tepat sekali uols! You can start planting herbs or crops which you can use for cooking. Tumeric leaves or daun kunyit boleh digunakan sebagai bahan memasak rendang dan masak lemak. Kunyit pula boleh diguna dalam masakan serta dijadikan serbuk kunyit digunakan untuk tujuan menggoreng. Banyak kegunaan tu. Jika berminat untuk membuat serbuk kunyit boleh rujuk di sini.

Berbalik pada daun kunyit I yang berlubang , apa rawatannya? I dah tanya cousin Awin and do some google search. Mungkin perlu buat beberapa perkara seperti di bawah:
1. Pindah ke tempat lebih redup
2. Buang daun yang rosak
3. Siram dengan air basuhan beras/ikan/udang
4. Sembur dengan campuran homemade insecticide (satu sudu liquid dish detergent bersama 1 liter air)

Nikon D90 body (8GB + Bag) and Sigma 18-200mm lense sold at RM2100

I'm giving up DSLR for now. That piece was with me since May 2010. Chubby bought as a belated birthday gift. That was an upgrade from Nikon D60 (sold to my nephew). Jadi sekarang, photos captured mostly pakai Samsung S3 aje uols. DSLR is for heavyweight photographer je I rasa. Sapa yang suka eksperimen guna pakai dial 'M' dengan segala benda dalam menu...beli pulak lense, filters, speedlight and all other accessories yang sewaktu dengan nya...kena pulak yang ada masa untuk ikut geng outing amik gambar...sangat la berbaloi dan sesuai! Tapi macam I ni..rasa macam kumpul habuk je camera tu. Dah la tak de dry box for proper storage.

2.5 years with me SC (shutter count kalau uols tak tau) pun less than 9000. Haa tu la tandanya under utilized. Walaupun I tak la professional photographer ke apa..but my camera is using 'M' setting ok bukan 'A'. It's a waste kalau pakai DSLR tapi set dekat A uols. Got to learn and pick up a thing or two wonders that DSLR can do ya..

I have sold this camera to my neighbor selang 3 buah rumah. He got to know after I advertised in Mudah. Macam biasa lah. Alhamdulillah senang dapat buyer. I deleted the ads before I got the chance to capture screen. Ingat nak share la dekat sini, macam mana nak tulis iklan untuk jual camera ni. Mana tau, esok lusa anyone might need a reference later.

Best juga jalan-Jalan ke Bukit Tinggi Pahang (Sept 2013)

Travel agent is discussing with client on the itinerary.

According to About.com on travel agent career information, as a Travel agent (sedap lagi bunyi travel consultant ye tak?), one is required to assess individual's and business people's needs to help them make the best possible travel arrangements. An agent may specialize by type of travel, such as leisure or business, or destination. Travel agents also promote travel packages on behalf of cruise lines, resorts and specialty travel groups. In order to become a travel agent one must have, at least, a high school diploma or the equivalent. To be a successful travel agent one must be well-organized, accurate, detail-oriented, professional and courteous.

Well, I fit the requirement and I have the quality mentioned. Taking a job as travel agent I made the arrangement for us to go for quick getaway to Bukit Tinggi Pahang which is about 1hr 30mins driving from Subang Jaya. I prepared the itinerary as following:

9.30 AM- Push off from home
10.00 AM- Stop for breakfast at R&R Awan Besar & toilet breaks
11.15 AM- Arrive in Colmar Tropicale *
11.30 AM- Free & easy
12.00 PM- Performance (Dance)
12.30 PM- Free & easy

Travelling tips with kids:
1.Wear long sleeves t-shirts (at least) and long pants since it's slightly windy/cold
2.Wear sport shoes if they like to run around especially if the place is for sightseeing
3.Consider toilet breaks in between the activities - every 1.5 hour once
4.Bring water/snacks or else you will end up spending more - a can drink cost you RM4.50
5.Bring a bag or have enough space in mom's handbag to place kids' stuffs (drinks, sweets, handkerchief and etc)
6.Oh ya, very important if you go uphill with winding road and your kid gets car sick - bawak la plastic bag, minyak angin ke apa
7.Momsies, please don't wear high heels nanti susah nak kejar kids and furthermore you have to walk up a hill to go to Japanese Garden.

Lipatan kain yang amat menjimatkan ruang dan kelihatan super kemas

Ada tau kerjaya as Professional Organizers. According to NAPO, they help individuals and businesses take control of their surroundings, their time, their paper piles, their lives! See, obviously clothes folding that is space saving and neat is the kind of Professional Organizer services. Just like what I did. Kalau in the US, this has become profession that can earn big bucks sebab ramai orang yang berkerjaya dan sibuk sampai tak sempat nak cleaning up clutter and keeping stuffs organized. Tapi for me, this is my service for the family with love!

Interestingly this is part of my other hat too. Though I have a helper, she is freshie (a month). Everything has to teach from the start. She has to be told to do things how we want her to do, else she buat hentam keromo nanti I geram!

What do you think of the folding style? The underwear, socks and singlet. Nicely fold. I knew how to fold the socks that way, but underwear and singlet are something new which I just got to know after doing some Google research. Jom kita sama-sama praktik kan.

Grow my own crop

Yeah, I am a gardener too. Nak mengaku ada kebun kecil, I'd rather not sebab baru ada 3 jenis tanaman yang boleh dituai untuk tujuan masakan.

Presenting to you the first one in our front yard (selalu orang kata back yard..I ada kat depan je). This is Kaffir Lime Leaf..atau Daun Limau Purut ye. I baru google tadi. :p Senang je tanam pokok ni, asal dari daun limau purut yang beli kat kedai dia bagi sekali dengan ranting...pastu my maid kata yang ni boleh tanam jadi pokok. Then we all letak dalam pasu.

Time macam sekarang harga minyak naik semua barang naik ni uols, dapat la jugak save lebih dari 20sen.

One day, I want to publish my own children's book

It all started when I always get bunch of 'likes' from friends in my FB status when I posted something funny, comical and cute about what they said - referring to Adam and Idrees. Ada yang sampai bertanya bila lagi nak update pasal mereka kalau I missed to post new updates! A friend of mine even said it's addictive sebab everytime she and husband will laugh hard dengar telatah my kids. Another friend of mine (seriously I tak tipu- she's not even close to me merely an ex-colleague some many years ago) siap cadangkan I to write a book and she surely will buy! Thanks to Yuzie sebab mulai saat itu, I ada tanam angan-angan nak tulis buku.

From now on, I will dig and collect all the funny episodes which I have recorded down some where ; FB posting, Instag photos and etc. This going to be fun! Will share it here from time to time. Once I have enough, I need to source for illustrator, editor and publisher? Nak kena buat some research and ask around pasal nak terbit buku. Bukan senang rasanya...tapi tak de yang mustahil kalau kita betul nak buat. Yang penting, mesti ada take action. Kalau berangan sampai bila pun dekat situ jugak. Betul tak?

First teaser for the recent one was about 'Who chooses who?'. He was asking was it Daddy who chose (to marry) Mummy or otherwise.
It goes something like this:

"Mami ni yang pilih daddy tu ke.. daddy tu yang pilih mami ni?" Adik rasa? "Daddy tu yang pilih mami ni" sambil tuding jari kat i. "Betul ke adik teka?" Haaa..adik memang pandai. "Mesti la! Adik suka pilihan daddy".

He complimented his dad's choice for choosing to marry me who is now his mommy = mami. Ohhh, sweetness!

The cheapest convertible baby walker in town sold within hours!

We did it again. Sold an item via Mudah.my
It's the Mamalove baby walker which convertible to push cart (Adam punya). Actually more like a charity sale. We gave it away for fraction of the price. Only for RM30. Seeing the expression of the buyer who came at about 10.45pm after work riding motorbike and looked HAPPY - priceless! We helped him to tie the walker at the back of the motorbike. Hope he reach home safely which is faaaarrr away in Gombak - over 40km

Tips from mami when advertised via mudah:
1- be descriptive right from the start for the chosen title, function, condition,reason to letgo and payment method
2- also state the preferred contact channel e.g: call/whatsapp/email
3- Attach clear photo that makes visible of the description in #1. Attach more than one photo if that helps to give more details.

My cheeky, overfriendly, mushroom style haircut Idrees boy!

This is Idrees. I fondly called him Adik. He's 5 this year. Already attending kindy for more than 2 years since we had problem getting maid before. Last year in his report card, the teacher wrote "Masya Allah, He is super friendly!". I bet he took that from Chubby coz I'm always a quiet person talk-when-needed.

Oh ya, last time he needed me to put him to bed coz we sleep together. But since few days ago, he seems to be able to sleep separately now with his brother. Ahhaha..not yet in their own room. Hopefully soon. Yes, they are still sleeping in the same room however on separate bed. Read the previous post about the attempt to separating them from sleeping in our room :-)

Ketam telur masin yang sangat sedap

Semalam I masak ni for berbuka puasa. Malangnya tak sempat nak rasa sebab Chubby balik awal (kebulur sebab tak lunch) and kids had early dinner with Daddy at about 6.45pm habiskan ketam I! Nasib baik tak kempunan nak bawak diri masuk batu belah batu bertangkup. GrrrRrRr. Picture quality is not real concern here, tapi this is my own effort yang baru bertatih nak masak-masak (pasal deco ke, presentation ke letak tepi dulu ya)

Sharing this recipe setelah but cross reference dengan beberapa blog otai memasak. Tapi I ada alter sikit ikut citarasa sendiri dan tips from my friend Zulreen the strong lady. Take it away!

Bahan-bahan:-
-3 ekor ketam bunga
-4 biji cili padi – dihiris ikut kepedasan masing-masing
-2 tangkai daun kari
-3 sudu besar butter
-5 biji telur masin
-2 biji putih telur masin (yang ni I letak 1 je)
-1 sudu kecil gula
-3 sudu besar susu cair (kalau guna susu UHT kurang sedap, I use susu cair tapi sekurang2nya separuh tin!)
-3 biji bawang putih - di ketuk
-4 tangkai cili kerin (I tambah sendiri, this will give nice aroma)
-3 sudu besar tepung jagung
-sedikit garam
-serbuk lada sulah secukupnya
-minyak masak untuk menggoreng

Caranya
1.Rebus telur masin sampai masak, asingkan kuning telur dan hancurkan
2.Bersihkan ketam potong kepada dua bahagian, goreng dengan tepung jagung.
3.Goreng deep fried - asingkan
4.Panaskan kuali masukkan butter, tumis bawang putih, daun kari, cili kering dan cili padi sampai wangi
5.Masukkan telur masin yang telah dihancurkan tadi.
6.Masukkan susu segar cair, gula dan lada sulah..perasakan kesemuanya.
7.Kacau rata, tunggu sampai kuah tu sedikit berbuih, masukkan ketam kacau rata dan sedia dihidang.
