Buat sendiri air soda herbs


Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Sejak joined FB public group Masak Apa Hari Ni (MAHN), macam-macam lagi resepi dah cuba. Browse Facebook pasal resepi lagi berfaedah dari update yang ntahapahapa kekadang tu kan?

Untuk rujukan pada masa akan datang dan juga sebagai tanda resepi ni sudah dicuba, therefore I'm updating it here.

Kalau mengikut carian google, air soda herbs ni popular dekat William's Corner. I never tried before, lama dah tak pernah pergi William's pun. When I looked at the ingredients memang dah tahu sedap air ni, so lets see bahan-bahan dan cara-cara penyediaan air soda herbs ni.

Bahan-bahan:
- lemon
- 2-3 batang serai
- daun pudina
- buah laici (boleh guna laici dalam tin)
- Asam Boi
- Ice Cream Soda
- Ais/Air Batu

Cara- Cara:
-Lemon dihiris nipis.
-Serai dititik.
-Masukkan semua bahan-bahan dalam bekas/botol/jug.

Sedia untuk di minum! Bismillah....

Taman Safari Indonesia (Day 4)


Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Yes, we made it to Taman Safari Indonesia. Memang best lah pergi sana. Kids especially were so excited sebab dapat first hand experience feeding the animals including zebras and camels! Imagine that...

Untung lagi hari tu bila tiket masuk, orang dekat counter tu kira harga tiket kita macam orang local. Seorang harga tiket IDR150 000. Kalau di ikutkan untuk yang berumur 6 tahun dan ke atas, harga IDR300 000 for international visitor. Hehhehehe..rejeki!

Kalau nak pergi, jangan lupa beli dulu carrot atau makanan untuk binatang yang dijual sebelum masuk ke dalam safari. Kat tepian jalan tu nanti ramai penjaja menjual. Nanti, lepas bayar tiket masuk kita akan menyusuri taman safari sebelum sampai ke Amusement Park. Masa tu lah segala binatang kita boleh tengok. Yang merbahaya macam harimau, singa tak boleh lah buka tingkap kereta. But the rest yang tak merbahaya kita boleh wind down sikit tingkap nak bagi dia makan. Heeee some of the animals akan datang jilat-jilat tingkap. Jadi jangan pulak terlebih berani sua muka. Egegeggegege..



Kami naik kereta gantung atau nama lain nya sky lift. Best jugak pengalaman tu, tengok topview sekitar kawasan amusement park.


Sempat tengok various animal show. Lepas habis show naik beberapa rides di sana. Family ride pun ada macam rumah hantu, bumper car, floating boat and few more.

Please expect at least 4-5hours to be spent inside there (from entrance till exit). On the way back, we had late lunch at Rumah Makan Bumi Aki. Do go there if you like Sunda food and scenic view from top of the hill.

Rendang ayam sempena Aidiladha


Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Lepas subuh semalam baru datang mood nak masak rendang. Ayam memang dah ready defrost. Serai dengan daun limau purut ambil dekat dalam pasu depan rumah je. Cuma daun kunyit tak ada! Pokok yang dalam pastu tu mati, tak buat semaian baru. Redha je lah rendang tak ada daun kunyit walaupun rasa tak lengkap.

Mujur dapat bantuan encik husband. Dia pakar jugak masak-memasak ni. Kalau harap kan I sorang, belum tentu dapat makan rendang kami sekeluarga. Walaupun husband tak payah nak rujuk-rujuk resepi sebab semua dalam kotak kepala dia je, I still need to refer to one. Kali ni, I rujuk resepi dari Sajian Dapur Bonda. Sebetulnya I nak buat rendang yang warnanya hijau pakai cili padi. Tapi hasilnya tak sama lah. But anyhow sedap jugak hasil air tangan I (credit to encik husband juga).

Bahan-bahannya:
1 ekor ayam – potong ikut suka dan dibersihkan
1 paket (320ml) santan sawit KHALIS //i pakai santan kelapa, agak-agak dalam 2 cawan kot
4 cawan air //agak-agak jugak
4 helai daun kunyit – dihiris kasar //tak letak
3 – 4 helai daun limau purut - disiat
2 – 3 keping asam gelugor
2 batang serai - dititik
3 senduk nasi kerisik
2 sudu besar gula perang // gula biasa
Garam secukup rasa
Minyak secukupnya untuk menumis

Bahan-bahan dikisar halus:
15 biji cili padi hijau //7-8 biji je takut pedas sangat
15 biji cili padi merah
3 labu bawang besar
5 ulas bawang putih
2 inci halia
1 inci lengkuas //lengkuas tak ada
2 inci kunyit hidup
6 batang serai – dihiris
5 biji buah keras
Air secukupnya untuk memudahkan bahan-bahan dikisar halus.

Cara-cara :
1. Panaskan minyak secukupnya di dalam kuali. Tumis bahan kisar sehingga wangi dan terbit minyak. Gunakan api sederhana dan kacau selalu.

2. Masukkan ayam dan gaul rata dengan tumisan bahan kisar tadi. Biarkan di atas dapur selama lebih kurang 10 minit atau sehingga ayam kecut

3. Kemudian masukkan santan, air, daun kunyit, daun limau purut, serai yang dititik, asam gelugor, gula perang, dan garam. Kacau rata dan biarkan ia mendidih.

4. Tambah kerisik dan kacau lagi. Masak dengan api yang kecil hingga rendang agak pekat dan ayam masak (teknik mereneh).

5. Akhir sekali masukkan kerisik dan gaul rata. Masukkan juga beberapa biji cili padi yang dititik (opysen). Teruskan masak sehingga rendang kering ataupun sedikit berkuah. Matikan api. Bolehlah dihidangkan.

Kuntum Farm Field in Bogor (Day 3)


Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Day 2 in Bogor we went to Kuntum Farm Field. From Horison Hotel about 15 minutes driving. This place is liken to Farm in the City, Seri Kembangan. It's the kind of place my kids love to go. The area is quite big, we didn't go around all over.



Nothing much to update, I am not fond of this kind of place though. :D Luckily I brought together my pen and paper. So managed to do tearing of paper into animal shape, lettering and take some pictures. heheheh.

Aktiviti di Jakarta dan Bogor - Day 1 & 2


Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Day 1

Flying with Malaysia Airlines, they gave kids meal. Adam and Idress got themselves activity books. That kept them occupied for a while doing the word search and some writing.

Jakarta is one hour behind. We reached there 6.45pm local time. It was already dark. Malam tu kami tumpang tidur di rumah kawan. Save budget tak perlu sewa hotel :-)

Alhamdulillah, jalan tak lah 'macet' teruk. Reached home, ordered home delivery food; nasi putih, gurame goreng, begedil, tauhu and some other local dishes tak ingat nak sebut. Hehehhe.

Lepas makan, ada tukang urut datang rumah. Sesi urut dalam 2 hours for IDR150 000. Lebih kurang RM45 duit kita. Bila dah siap urut it is almost midnight, masa untuk tidur. Esoknya pagi-pagi nak berangkat ke Bogor.


Day 2

We had pisang goreng pasir (di goreng menggunakan pasir sebagai medium pemanas) and gehu pedas! Interestingly the gehu pedas you have to eat in sequence. Gigit cili padi, a bite of tauhu and eat the pulut. Wow..memang ketagihan! Bener dong...



Sampai di Bogor kurang lebih 1.5 hours, we checked in straight to Horison hotel.


Next we went for lunch at De' Luit. We can't be frugal when it comes to eating expenses since travelling with the kids. Nanti kalau makan kat stall tepian jalan tu takut sakit perut pulak.


After lunch off we went to Kebun Raya Bogor. The supir whom not a local from Bogor (from Jakarta), was not well verse with the whereabouts. Sesat! Wasted our time. But anyhow, Alhamdulillah we finally reached the place.


Dinner at Bakul-bakul also another restaurant nearby our hotel just within walking distance. Idrees dropped a glass full of strawberry drink. We have to pay additional IDR15000 (around RM4.50) but they kindly replace the drink for free. Of course the juice more expensive around IDR 21000.

Percutian ke Jakarta dan Bogor 6D5N


Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Cuti sekolah belum pun bermula tapi kami telah mengambil cuti terlebih awal. Hari Selasa yang lepas bersamaan 15hb pukul 5.45 petang, bermulalah kembara Jakarta-Bogor. Tujuan asal mengikut encik husband yang ada urusan. Sambil itu dapatlah kami sekeluarga melawat sekitar Bogor.

Kids memang cuti sekolah sempena darurat jerebu. Hari Rabu pula Hari Malaysia. Khamis dan Jumaat mohon cuti dari pihak sekolah.

Flight ticket kalau beli last minute memang agak mahal dari biasa. Jadi perlu rancang perjalanan dengan sebaik mungkin supaya bajet tak burst. Tambahan pula apabila membawa anak kecil bersama.

Kali ni, arrangement untuk supir dan penginapan tidak diaturkan sendiri. Kami guna khidmat nasihat kawan suami yang memang mahir dengan kawasan sekitar Jakarta dan Bogor. 5 hari perkhidmatan bayaran supir sebanyak IDR 2.5 Juta

Resepi Cream Puff dengan sos kastard


Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Petang tadi teringin nak makan yang manis-manis buat minum petang. Nak cuba buat sendiri. Nak keluar beli, API hari ni tinggi sampai 163!!! Google punya google cari resepi apa yang berkenan. Found this cream puff dengan sos kastard resepi dari blog Cik Epal. Dia dah buat tahun 2012, I tahun 2015 baru terhegeh-hegeh nak cuba. hahahahha..

anyway jom tengok bahan-bahan dan cara nak buat cream puff ni.

Bahan-bahan:
1 cawan tepung gandum (150g) diayak
secubit garam
4 biji telur
1 sudu kecil esen vanila

Cara-cara:
1. Masukkan butter dan air dalam periuk. Didihkan atas api sederhana. Bila butter dah larut dan sedikit mendidih, masukkan tepung gandum tadi.
2. Kacau laju-laju sampai tepung tu tidak melekat pada periuk. Macam jadi doh nak buat roti. Kemudian boleh ditutup api.
3. Ketepikan adunan dalam bekas lain.
4. Masukkan telur sebiji-sebiji sampai habis 4 biji telur. Terukan mengacau adunan.
5. Masukkan Esen vanila dalam adunan
6. Sediakan loyang yang dialaskan dengan parchment paper/ aluminium foil dan dioles dengan butter.
7. Guna piping bag + nozzle untuk bentuk cream puff yang bulat comel. Kalau tak ada, boleh guna sudu sahaja.
8. Jangan lupa panaskan oven dulu. Cream puff sedia untuk dibakar dalam oven selama 25 minit, 200C api atas dan bawah, tray letak tengah.

note: mine was not a successful one sebab cream puff bantant/runtuh/penyek. Kena cuba lagi next time. Don't know what went wrong. Rasa okay je cuma rupa agak sedih la.

Bahan-bahan untuk sos kastard:
2 sudu besar tepung jagung
2 sudu besar tepung kastard
1 1/2 cawan fresh milk
2 biji telur
1 sudu kecil esen vanila
3 sudu besar gula

Cara-cara:
1. Masukkan semua bahan dalam periuk.
2. Kacau sebati atas api sederhana.
3. Sampai sos dah pekat boleh tutup api.

Cadangan hidangan
1. Potong cream puff (jangan sampai terbelah dua) untuk isi sos kastard di tengah2.
2. Tabur kan icing sugar.

Writing Abstract for a conference paper

Assalamualaikum & Hi,

I need to file this information but meantime while I'm trying to figure out where to place it, I shall put it here. Tumpang dekat blog ni, it will always be here for my future reference. Insya Allah.

1st version of abstract.

Social media provide new ways for extremist to communicate and reach audiences across the world. The widespread of extremist related videos via YouTube which is referred as ‘extremist YouTube videos’ are worrying since it could potentially leave adverse impact on viewers. Researchers who conducted content analysis on these videos concluded that the video clips are capable to convey very impressive messages. The extremists want to provoke interest of the viewers especially the younger ones. Additionally, the video clips are embedded with visual markers such as violent action, logo and uniform that make them easily identifiable. This paper will report on synthesis of past literature and preliminary study conducted as part of the efforts to demonstrate the rationale of undertaking this research.


The abstract needs to be improved with below structure:
1-2 sentences of intro to the work as reported
1-2 sentences of problem/motivation of the reported work
1-2 sentences of aim/objective for the reported work
1-2 sentences of method used in the reported work
1-2 sentences of result observed from the reported work
1-2 sentences of significance/usefulness/contribution made by the reported work

So here goes the ....

2nd version of abstract.

Social media provide new ways for extremist to communicate and reach audiences across the world. There are many videos purportedly related to extremist available via YouTube which can be referred as ‘extremist YouTube videos’. The production of the videos are said to be carefully crafted with visual markers that make them easily being identified. This paper will report on synthesis of past literature on extremist videos and a survey that gathered the views of 151 respondents aged 15 to 45 years. Finding shows most respondents agree that they would be able to identify the videos through specific visual markers. Using the same set of visual markers, the respondents agree that upon viewing they might get emotional. The novelty of this preliminary study lies in the quantitative outcomes of the survey which concur towards possibility of relationship between visual markers and emotional responses of the respondents. The finding may be one piece of the whole about extremist YouTube videos, however it could be very useful to determine the direction of future research.


However, it is still lacking of something. In other words kurang ummphh! The final version is on the way.

Resepi donut tanpa yis


Assalamualaikum dah Hi,

Lama dah tak bersiaran. Tetiba rasa nak kena update resepi dekat blog ni supaya boleh refer lagi di masa depan! Semalam, teringin nak makan donut. Mak ada dekat rumah. Ala2 nak tunjuk la sikit dekat mak, actually anak dia ada usaha lah nak siapkan minum petang ke apa ke. Tak ada lah asyik beli kedai je.

Bila cari2 resepi, rupanya nak buat donut kena pakai yis. Sayang nya yis memang tak ada dekat rumah. Nak keluar beli, malas. Alang2 beli yis nanti pegi beli kuih siap untuk dimakan pulak. Hehehhhe.. Google lagi, nampak ada resepi donut tanpa yis dekat blog Faa Rosli. Wallaaaaa!!!

DONUT TANPA YIS / CHINESE DOUGHNUT

Bahan-bahan

2 cwn tepung gandum
1/2 sk garam halus
2 1/2 sk baking powder
1/3 cwn butter
3/4 cwn susu segar
minyak untuk menggoreng
gula castor untuk salut donut - faa guna gula icing //kita pun pakai gula icing juga

Cara-cara
1. ayak tepung, garam n baking powder.
2. masukkan butter ke dalam bahan ayak. gaul menggunakan hujung jari hingga menjadi seperti bread crumbs (tiada ketulan besar)
3. masukkan susu segar dan uli hingga menjadi doh besar.
4. bahagikan kepada ketulan kecil dan bentukkan bulat dan leperkan.
5. panaskan minyak menggunakan api sederhana besar. //pastikan api betul2 panas baru mula menggoreng
6. goreng hingga kekuningan, angkat toskan dan gaul dengan gula.
7. hidang dan siap untuk dimakan.
