Percutian 6D5N to Hong Kong (Halal tour free and easy) - Day3

Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Haish..punya lah ambil masa nak sambung Day 3 of the entry cerita pasal percutian 6D5N ke Hong Kong bulan September yang lepas. Boleh rujuk sticky post "Supermakwannabe as a travel agent" untuk entri-entri yang lepas.

Seronok bila cuba recall balik cerita hari ke-3 di Hong Kong. Ye lah, mengenang pengalaman menarik di tempat orang memang best. Kami sekeluarga pergi ke Ocean Park. Tak bangun awal jugak. It was a late start that day. We took MTR to Admiralty then naik bus 629 (terminate at Ocean Park itself). Masih lagi amaran tentang Typhoon kategori 3. Bila sampai sana nak beli tiket masuk, sedih la sebab diberitahu all rides at the outdoor park were closed due to the weather condition. That's when I think we should plan carefully our visit to country with seasons. Sebab memang bila dah dekat2 nak winter katanya akan ada this kind of weather yang uncertainty. But anyhow, we can only plan. Allah Knows best!

Alang2 dah sampai takkan tak masuk. Justtttt about to buy the ticket, ada this kindhearted lady came and approach me to give two entrance tickets for the boys. Allahuakbar! Rezeki dari Allah yang tidak disangka. Alhamdulillah dapat save some money (lebih kurang RM135 jugak lah). So we just bought tickets for two adults. I punyalah repeatedly said thank you to the madam. Dia macam tak faham English sangat. So I said, "Do jeh saai". If only I knew more Cantonese....

Some of the photos taken over there. Despite the weather, it was a fun time dekat sana. Banyak kena jalan. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes ya. Ada tempat makan halal, one of it is the Clown Corner. We got to see panda, penguin, sea lion and many more animal belongs to the ocean. Oh yea, even the animal show which supposed to feature the dolphin pun was cancelled.

That's about it on Day 3. Balik we went dinner at Aladdin Mess dekat Causeway Bay. Sedappppppp and affordable too. The restaurant manager actually gave a handful of M&M and candy to the boys. Dua kali untung hari tu!

Till the next post...tata

Supermakwannabe as a Party Planner

Assalamualaikum...

Oh Yes, I am a party planner too! :p

Took the description randomly from this website here. "Party planners (also known as event planners) coordinate gatherings of all types and sizes and handle every detail ranging from the venue to party theme. You'll likely need a bachelor's degree, but the job can be exciting and allow you to meet a lot of people. The career can be demanding at times, as you'll need to work under deadlines to make sure all the party details are in place and your clients are satisfied."

Well well..What can I say. I'm over qualified since I have Master's degree (that is no biggie but worth mention). Yes the job can be exciting in which I got to meet and communicate with a lot of people. Such as the restaurant manager (handle bookings and arrangement), school principal (to ask for parents' contact number - to send invitation on behalf), family/friends, the parents (of whose kids to be invited & need to ask permission) and on and on.

Working under deadlines? Obviously. Like the birthday party is in 2 weeks time. The Mothers' Day celebration just few days away. Some instant surprises unplanned lets-blow-some-candle over 4-slices of different cake kind of celebration. All I (have to) do.

Of course those are all for the sake of making sure the party details are in place and 'clients' are satisfied!

This will be sticky post for label 'party planner'. And introduction before I actually do up the post for recent birthday party for the boys. Oh it was so much fun!!!

Dah setahun abah pergi...

Assalamualaikum...

Not that I forgot completely, but was lucky to be reminded by Hanis semalam. Dah setahun abah pergi. Earlier before I was chit chatting dengan bebudak MCC pasal daddy-less.

Since Nadia just lost her father the day before Raya Haji hari tu. We were all macam trying to comfort her telling how our moms recovering from the losses. Dalam group tu, Rono, Emi and myself are daddy-less. And so happened, (I think semua mak-mak pun macam tu) all of our moms semua "mana boleh tinggal rumah, nanti arwah balik malam jumaat tak de sapa kat rumah".

Mak si Rono, siap kena makan ubat penenang sebab sakit slip disc plus kematian suami menyebabkan dia lebih murung. We agreed that this would be the toughest time for our mothers. Ye la masing-masing dah kahwin for many many years. Macam mak dan abah I tu dah 50 years kahwin. How lah she said tak teringat selalu. Masa awal-awal dulu, tidur atas katil hospital dan peluk neck pillow arwah.

Mak si Emi pun cakap benda yang sama, even budak putus cinta pun boleh sedih ni kan husband and wife yang dah berpuluh tahun kawin. Obviously tak boleh tinggal diorang sendirian time awal-awal tu. Mak dulu, nasib baik ada Ahyak (of course you too hanis) temankan for quite sometimes.

Selepas setahun, mak is getting better I guess. Tapi kadang-kadang sembang...ada jugak dia cerita teringat kat abah. Kain pelikat arwah, towel ke..kadang2 terngiang bau dia. Oh, air mata dah bergenang ni...I remember too bau abah..masa dia masih sihat..masa dia kerja kuat dulu. Masa dia muda sikit selalu datang UTP visit anak perempuan sorang dia ni..naik kereta mercedes hijau JAS 5115.

We always miss you, Kapten Malaya. You are always in our prayer! May all of us be united in Jannah Insya Allah.

p/s: hargai, ingati, sayangi mak & abah korang while they are still around

Supermakwannabe as a gardener

Assalamualaikum...

According to Wikipedia, A gardener is someone who practices gardening, either professionally or as a hobby. He or she will take care of the garden and has gardening skills per se.

So, I am a gardener too! I grow my own crops (jangan muntah darah dulu...I do have some tanaman okay) and now adding flowers into the list. Tapi kan....I forgot to ask the supplier apa kah nama pokok bunga ni! All I know, it's easy to take care. Tahan panas, outdoor type of plant. Kadang-kadang boleh la letak baja taik ayam ke kambing ke. Siram tu kalau miss pun tak pe lagi sebab dia memang tahan lasak.

Sepokok RM5 I beli dekat Yah Nursery Seksyen 27 Shah Alam. Sebab lupa tanya nama pokok bunga ni, soon nak kena repeat the trip. Ada modal boleh tambah sejenis pokok bunga lagi...

Who else here suka bercucuk tanam angkat tangan? :p

They say, gardening is a good therapy. It makes us feel renewed. Imagine the beautiful flowers blossoming...dengan warna yang cantik sejuk mata memandang... arrrghh rasa best kan? Jangan ingat shopping je theraphy okay!

Tata..

p/s: I already have belalai gajah, terung, kunyit and limau purut in my kebun...

Selamat Hari Raya AidilAdha 2014

Assalamualaikum...

Alhamdulillah dapat balik kedua-dua kampung sempena cuti AidilAdha yang lalu. That was a last minute decision.. Bertolak pukul 11.30 malam hari Jumaat from Subang Jaya....5.15am baru sampai Parit Buntar.

Kusyuk Idrees tengok lembu tu dah siap dibaringkan. Kaki dan tangan telah pun diikat rapi. Masa ni, kejap-kejap Idrees pusing belakang...riak muka macam nak cakap kesian lembu tu! Teringat masa kecik-kecik dulu, mak pesan jangan sebut kasihankan binatang yang nak dimakan. Nanti, tak boleh makan! Hehehehhe...

Kami semua adik beradik termasuk mak sekali...di barisan hadapan tengok lembu disembeli. Aduh...memang tak sampai hati. Kagum dengan Pakcik Mat Pak Teh Man tu, hebat dia sembelih...yakin dan tak ragu-ragu langsung. Tengok muka kami masing2...tak perasan I asyik pegang leher je sampai selesai sembelih. Huhuhuhuu..

Sekian cerita hari raya korban tahun ni. Kali kedua tanpa arwah abah di sisi. Al-fatihah buat arwah abah.

Percutian 6D5N to Hong Kong (Halal tour free and easy) - Day2

Previous Related entry on itinerary (here), checklist (here) and Day 1 (here).

Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Maaf sangat sebab ambil masa agak lama sebelum sambung cerita pergi Hong Kong hari tu. OK jom ikuti cerita hari kedua... plan nak pergi Masjid Ammar and Osman Ramju Sadick, lepas tu The Peak Tram, Stanley Market then balik hotel dulu sebelum keluar balik pergi Ladies Night Market. Hehehhe, tapi yang dapat pegi cuma Masjid & Stanley Market je kalau ikut tentative itinerary tu...

just read on what we actually bumped into..so blessed!

Pagi tu bangun lewat. Masing-masing penat. Walaupun curtain kat bilik saja buka luas sebab mengharapkan panas cahaya matahari menyebabkan mata nanti tak boleh lagi terus tidur. Tapi ternyata salah percaturan. Kepenatan semuanya...

Lepas bersiap, kids sempat alas perut minum milo 3in1 dan makan bun. Then off we walked about 3-5 minutes away nak ke MongKok East MTR station. Dah alas perut tapi nampak 7-11 masa otw tu masih nak beli air minuman. Satu botol cost HKD8-10. MTR Station ni nampak lama and its underground. Sesak nafas rasa..gelaaaaappp sikit.

Hari ni cabaran nya nak naik public bus menyeberang ke Hong Kong Island to go to Wan Chai district where the masjid is located. Salah ambil bas. We stopped ntah mana hala. Dah jenuh terkial-kial nak cari orang tanya arah. :p Butttttt we still made it finally!

The masjid, like any other building. Easily mistaken for kedai ke apa. sebab tak ada kubah (if not mistaken). Few stories building converted jadi masjid. Ada tempat sembahyang, tempat aktiviti....dan yang menarik nya tingkat 5 ada kedai makanan muslim yang sedap. So we had brunch there..We ordered dimsum, nasi goreng and noodle. Portion dia besar, so can share. Lupa pulak nak ambil gmbr dalam restoran tu. Allahuakbar. I guess sebab terlupa tu because masa sampai tu ramai orang and we didn't immediately get our table. Pusing2 tanya then ada satu meja kosong right at hujung restoran. After we settled down nak order, ada couple came to sit with us. Well the table can have 8 ppl I think it's a big round table. Looks like malay couple.

MrBawsMan biasalah dia peramah satu malaysia...dia started conversation..the next was history! Immediately we clicked and lepas makan...sama-sama jalan ke Causeway Bay...nak naik minibus ke Stanley Market. Rupanya Stanley Market tu dihujung island. Amik kau! kekekekke..Adam and Idress so excited ada Uncle Shy and Aunty Sha yang rajin melayan diorang borak this and that.

Stanley Market tu macam Jonker Street lah. Ada macam2 jualan. I bought printed animal printed shawl gambar kucing, kitten and bird. Alah lebih kurang harga kat sini je. Saja beli sebab I think tak jumpa pulak corak tu kat sini. Heheheheh..tak membeli sangat pun. Bukan primary purpose to go there and shop. We enjoyed the scenery and jalan2.

Masa balik naik bus double decker. Best ah macam naik roller coaster pun ada rasa! Imagine the road bit winding and jalan tepi2 bukit and nampak laut! Tapi sebab perjalanan took more than 1.5 hrs ....penat jugak lah dah mengembara seharian. Balik tu pergi pulak Chungking Mansion dekat Tsim Sha Tsui district where we had our dinner. Nama kedai Syed Bukhara (Malaysian made :p) Wow, memang banyak makanan halal kat Chungking Mansion tu.

Dah lepas makan, we went separate ways. Sha and Shy balik ke rumah mereka di Hung Hom. And we walked again (despite dah penat sebab ingat dekat...rupanya jauhhhhhh) nak pegi Temple Street. Pegi situ another night market like Petaling Street. Kids beli remote control car. Sheesh..ada je barang diorang nak beli. Mom and dad didn't buy anything pun....

That was last stop sebelum jalan..jalan..jalan somewhere to find our ways to nearest MTR station and balik ke hotel. Fuhhhh, that was a blessed Day 2 to having meet up with new friends and jalan-jalan with them. Alhamdulillah.
