Cuti sekolah nak pergi mana?

Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Anak-anak lelaki I ni animal lovers korang. Untuk cuti sekolah kali ni tema nye 'animal planet'. Dah 2 Zoo dah kami lawati. Zoo Negara dan selang 3 hari kemudian nya Zoo Melaka pulak. Hujung minggu depan kalau tak ada aral, berkhatan. Dah baik nanti, boleh tambah lagi satu Zoo. Zoo Taiping? Hehehhehe..

Kami sepakat lebih suka Zoo Melaka. Ada buggy service pusing satu Zoo with driver cum personal tour guide. Kalau nak pergi suggest pegi pagi sampai before 11am. First animal show at 11am. Toilets are clean. Harga air dan makanan pun berpatutan.

Kalau Zoo Negara pulak, additional attraction mungkin sebab ada Panda Conservation Center tu. Of course at additional price. That day nasib baik tak beli ticket with that access. Sebab masuk baru 1.5 hours dah start hujan.

Some of the photos taken at the Zoo.

p/s: the top most photo tu was my simple thank you note for MrKingofMyHeart sebab melayan karenah the boys nak pergi Zoo lagi! We will see if there will be third Zoo for this school holiday. :p

Rasa tak cukup masa? Nak lebih dari 24 jam?

Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Pernah tak rasa tak cukup masa? Rasa baru lagi pergi jumpa supervisor bentangkan kemajuan thesis... esok lusa ni dah nak kena jumpa lagi. Seminggu rasa kejap sangat!

Kalau boleh, nak lebih dari 24 jam.

Tapi lagi banyak masa pun belum tentu cukup. It's actually to make the most out of it. I learned it hard way. In fact, at times ada jugak rasa nak mengeluh. But it won't help a bit. Move on. Dari duduk mengenangkan nasib...baik kita chin up and try to do something. An inch of progress pun progress jugak kan...

Mental reminder to myself.

Don't lose focus.
Don't lose focus.
Don't lose focus.
Don't lose focus.
Don't lose focus.

P/s: I'm grateful to have family and friends who are understanding with my situation right now. Alhamdulillah.
Since this PhD journey, I have developed new interest. Salah satu nya menulis khat. Macam kat atas dalam gambar tu lah. I will write some quran verses, dhikr, doa and etc. It's actually help me to feel relax somehow. :-)

Make your own photo props

Assalamualaikum & Hi,

See that photo props? Yeah, made those myself. And I'm proud of it. Given time, resources and other constraints.....siap jugak malam sebelum birthday kenduri the boys bulan lepas.

Actually, if you are the less rajin type can just order it online. Tengok instagram for #photoboothprops or #photopropsmalaysia
I have seen some insta sellers are selling per piece RM3...kalau mahal sikit ada yang jual 10 pieces sekali for RM60! There are different sizes, materials being used and customized designs. Meriah korang!

I got ideas to make my own version from hashtags tu lah... pastu pergi beli barang:

- glue gun and the glue stick (RM16.90 + RM4)
- Kain felt pelbagai warna beli dekat Daiso (RM10)
- Model Card - White color (RM3.50)
- satay stick - tak jumpa dowel (RM3)

Additional barang required which already ada dekat rumah:
- pencil (for drawing purpose)
- Cutter/knife
- scissors
- Marker pen/ magic color and etc

If only banyak masa, can even decorate with glitters and other artsy stuffs...which usually boleh beli from art shops, DAISO and etc....

I googled, Youtubed...to see how to make one...and finally I made 13-14 pieces of them (some already missing in the picture). Senang je korang nak buat ni rupanya. Tapi kena creative sikit lah. If you can't draw ..fret not... sebab ada je website yang bagi free template such as this one from Personal Creations.

1. Print/draw the design on a paper/felt
2. Cut it out
3. Paste it on model card (optional for flimsy ones)
4. Fix dowel/satay stick using glue gun

Done!

Resepi Kari Ikan Nyok Nyok (tanpa santan)

Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Dua kali I cuba masak ni recently. Sekali pakai rempah Adabi, sekali pakai rempah Babas. Hubs kata, sedap lagi dengan rempah Babas. So kena take note lepas ni. Actually masak kari ni tak lah susah sangat. Kena make sure rempah dimasak elok dan pecah minyak. Dalam bahasa English nye ikut dekat cookbook or at the back of the packet tu tulis "when oil separates".

Jom tengok bahan-bahan dan cara memasak.

Bahan-bahan:
1. Ikan Nyok nyok (potong beberapa bahagian, kepala dah ada orang chop dulu!)
2. Rempah kari sepaket
3. 1 sudu besar serbuk cili
4. 1 inci halia *
5. 3 ulas bawang putih *
6. 1 biji bawang besar *
7. 4 biji bawang merah *
8. daun kari
9. air asam jawa secukup rasa
10. Bendi
11. Tomato
12. 1 sudu besar halba campur

* dipotong halus

Cara-cara:
1. Panaskan minyak di dalam periuk untuk menumis.
2. Tumis halba campur, bawang besar, bawang putih, bawang merah, halia dan daun kari sehingga wangi.

Ayam Bakar simple pakai magic pan

Assalamualaikum & Hi,

Tu lah! Berapa lama dah tak jadi chef dekat rumah mengupdate #laporanmasakan
(tapi tak de lah rasa bersalah sangat) kemalasan melanda korang...huk huk

Ni kira resepi simple lah ni. Ayam fillet je tapi nak buat macam bakar walaupun tak ada oven, magic pan boleh jadi. Haaaaaaaa... jangan nak heran sangat chef blogger ni pun pakai magic pan aka pemanggang ajaib tau!

Bahan bahan;

1/2 ekor ayam - dengan kulit
3-4 ulas bawang merah
3 ulas bawang putih
1 inci halia
1 inci kunyit hidup
Sedikit rempah kari - opsyenal (tak letak) //saya letak!
3-4 tangkai cili kering
3 batang serai
Garam
Gula

Cara-cara:

Dream Trip to Macau

Assalamualaikum and Hi,

I am all excited for an all-expenses paid trip to Macau!! One hand raised straight and the other typing this entry (slowly one letter at a time...) :p

Let me do the shout out first before we go ahead to the core of this entry. This contest was brought to all Nuffnangers by Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) and Nuffnang Malaysia. Thank You! Thank You!

To start off, this is my first time entering such a contest. I don't expect anything (blogger ciput je pun). What moved me actually was when I read "MACAU". I went there last year for the Sales Kick Off Meeting in January (before resigned). Arrrghhh those happy moments when I was the super (self-dubbed) Pre-Sales Consultant working with great girlfriends team...

It was 4 days 3 nights business trip. Sounds fun eh? BUT...sadly the meeting from morning 8.30am till 6pm everyday. And to make it worst, after the meeting there would be dinner with team session. Almost all acitivities took place within Conrad Hotel itself. It was such a limited time to go around and explore MACAU. sighhhhhh. Even more stress when I was told the famous The Venetian Macau was just opposite. :-(

Therefore...if only I could do this one more time...Of course this time together with good camera and NO NO just-camera-phone attitude. What a waste to miss whole lot of the (would be) beautiful shots.

Three Most Amazing Things that makes me want to re-visit Macau ...There are many amazing things to do/visit, but the following three are the top in my list.

i. The Venetian Macau

It's an integrated resort with luxurious hotel accommodation, duty-free shopping and world class entertainment. I would want to go for the gondola ride within the mall which is emulated the design of Venice. It's really beautiful! It's hard to tell whether it's day or night when you are inside the mall. It's bright with sky painted mural ceiling!

I would make sure to see (and video record too) the 3D light show! Oh this is so fantastic. Any kids would love to see this and of course to those who are young at heart like me. :D

of course, what would one do at a duty free shopping zone? I only had the chance to do little shopping last time. Here the three items I managed to 'secure' and actually had it doodle during one of the session in technical meeting. Teeheeee

ii. The Macau Tower

I didn't get the chance to go here last time. Even if could go, it would be just at the lobby of the tower probably. And that would be such and understated experience of The Macau Tower for real. So it has an observation deck, which offers those shaky knees an opportunity to conquer the fear of heights. Oh please, bungee jumping certainly not in my list.

iii.The historical sights

I didn't had enough time exploring the places. There is a lot to see, from the paved Senado Square to the General Post Office & St. Dominic’s Square, and on to the Ruins of St. Paul’s. Beware in order to go up to Ruins of St. Paul's you have to climb up stairs. Many of them! :p

I have to agree for its cultural uniqueness, that it was a right thing for UNESCO inscribing Macau on the World Heritage List.

some photos of me at the historical places. Only if I could take more!

AND.... why Nuffnang should send me for this superb opportunity?

Send me and I will try my very best to do the coverage on this trip in favour to repay for your kindness! All-expenses paid trip to Macau, accommodation at a 4-star hotel and chance to visit those amazing places - seriously beyond my imagination. This could be the very chance for me to widen my readership for this blog too.

Good luck to those taking part in this contest. Whoever wins, Macau is a worth place to visit - a mix of beautiful culture and the Vegas of Asia!

Signing off, till next time.
